The first edition with Athlete of the Year Alvin Pearman of Long Island's Roosevelt High, a decathlon star, on the cover, the '66 Annual covers the 1966 season-perhaps the greatest ever for any one state, when White Plains had the nation's top team, and schools like Boys High, Andrew Jackson, Mt. Vernon and Archbishop Molloy were close behind. This is the year of the famous national 2-mile relay record-a virtual dead heat-by Boys and Jackson (the 7:35.6 that stood for 36 years).
